With 55 years of experience, Counterpoint Community Services’ local community centres are a trusted resource for delivering essential support and services. We pride ourselves on fostering inclusive, welcoming spaces that cater to the needs of all members of our community, regardless of background.
Our expertise lies in providing holistic, community-focused support to the general public as well as specific groups, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. This breadth of experience allows us to address the unique challenges and opportunities faced by different communities.
We have a rich history of running programs tailored to specific cultural groups, ensuring everyone feels supported and connected. These include groups for:
- Chinese speakers, with dedicated sessions for Cantonese and Mandarin speakers
- Russian speakers
- Spanish speakers
- Vietnamese community members
- Indonesian community members
- Pacific Islanders
- Sierra Leone community

- Support and Advocacy: Tailored assistance for individuals, families, and community groups, helping address their unique challenges and achieve their goals.
- Community Development: Support for resident action groups, cultural organizations, and various interest-based groups to strengthen networks and drive positive changes.
- Community Leadership: Active involvement in local community planning, engagement initiatives, and emergency response efforts, demonstrating our commitment to creating safer, more prepared communities.
- Community Events: Hosting vibrant events such as Summer on the Green, Redfern Neighbourhood Day, Volunteer Awards, and Playgroups in the Park, fostering connections and celebration among members of the community.
- Meeting Spaces: Affordable and accessible venues for small and large events, available to local groups, organizations, and residents.

- EAPA Vouchers: Access to Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Vouchers, helping individuals and families manage energy bill challenges in times of financial hardship.
