Feeling safe in sex is also about wearing condoms Feeling safe in sex is also about wearing condoms and negotiating about safer sex. Chatting with each other so you both agree on what you want to do without feeling pressure to do unsafe things.
If you chat with each other, you are less likely to make assumptions about what the other person expects. Deciding to wear a condom is about keeping yourself safe, and your partners safe.
Condoms are available at our Factory Community Centre, 67 Raglan Street Waterloo, thanks to @newsouthwaleshealth - Population Health

The Yabun Festival is an annual celebration of Abo The Yabun Festival is an annual celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture; held every year on Australia Day (January 26th) on the traditional lands of the Gadigal people at Victoria Park in Camperdown in Sydney.

Yabun translates to ‘music to a beat’ in the Gadigal language.
https://whatson.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/events/yabun-festival

The Festival was first held in 2001 and is a celebration of the world’s oldest living culture. It’s where you can enjoy live music and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performances, hear panel discussions and participate in community forums on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues.

Many popular musicians and other entertainers also appear on stage at the festival. You can buy a huge range of indigenous-themed merchandise at numerous stalls, including clothing, jewellery, art, and craft.

Yabun Festival welcomes everyone to join us in this one-of-a-kind event which honours the survival of the world’s oldest living culture, in-person in Victoria Park, via Koori Radio 93.7FM in Greater Sydney or via video live stream at Yabun.org.au.

Camperdown is 4km south-west of the Sydney CBD. It’s best to catch public transport (train or bus) to the Yabun Festival because there are often road closures and special event clearways near the city on Australia Day. The Australia Day Council of NSW also provides a free shuttle bus service at selected times between Circular Quay and the Yabun Festival

The Tenants' Union of NSW @tenantsnsw is holding a The Tenants' Union of NSW @tenantsnsw is holding a photography competition, called 'Through a renter's lens.' Renters can enter under the categories of people, place and pets. The top prize is $1500 for category winners, with smaller cash prizes for finalists and semi-finalists.

The photography competition closes in two weeks, at midnight on Wednesday, 25 January. We will exhibit the top entries in a one-night event on 9 March 2023 at Customs House where we are hoping to connect renters and advocates with politicians and other organisations focussed on renting justice. This competition will create new opportunities for renters' voices to be heard, and help decision-makers see housing 'through a renter's lens'.

The competition is open to private, public and community housing renters. People who would like to rent but can’t due to the lack of affordable, available or appropriate housing in NSW, as well as people who are unhoused and residents of residential land lease communities, are also encouraged to submit entries. Entrants do not have to be photographers - we hope to receive entries from renters regardless of their background in photography. Even a selfie or a photo snapped on a phone can work, we’d just love as many people as possible to get involved.
